They charged me for about 13 months after I had cancelled my subscription by telephone. When I called to ask for a refund they said they had a policy not to do refunds.

I told them that I had a policy too - not to to let a giant American corporation steal from me. They directed me to their technical people in the Phillipines, they strung me along, and escaped.

Fraudulent charges on my debit card

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Vesta charged my account right after I filed an insurance claim on my stolen phone. Maybe it's a coincidence, but I don't know.

Seems like a strange thing. On my bank statement it says, "VESTA *T-MOBILE," and the charge is $98.94. I called T-Mobile who is my carrier and there are no such charges or credits on my account. I called my bank and I have to call back during regular hours- I'm with a small local bank.

Couldn't be worse timing. This sucks. I have to enter at least 100 words or it won't let me post. I have to enter at least 100 words or it won't let me post.

VESTAJ/ATT stealing

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

To follow is my letter to the CEO of AT&T

Dear Mr. Stephenson,

Recently I learned that a company called Vesta was charging my credit card account $40.75 every month for the last six months.

When I called Vesta, they told me they were billing me on behalf of the AT&T Go Phone. In October, 2015 I purchased a Go Phone, but canceled the order the next day because the phone would not fit my daughter's needs. When I went into the AT&T store, here in Savannah, they lined me up with new cell service that was more suited for both mine and my daughter's needs. At that time, the sales associate - Justin Briggs - said he would cancel the Go Phone.

I never signed or agreed to anything that would allow AT&T/Vesta to charge my credit card. When I asked Vesta to produce the documents authorizing these charges, they told me I would have to provide them with a court order. When someone from your office contacted me on this matter, he told me this was out of the hands of AT&T and I would have to deal with Vesta. I think this is a neat little game you all have going - where you give Vesta your customer's credit card information - without your customer's knowledge or permission - then wait for the proceeds to come back to AT&T.

It would appear that AT&T and Vesta, being partners in crime, are making a lot of dishonest money off of your unsuspecting customers. I have requested all of my financial institutions to BLOCK Vesta and AT&T from charges to any of my accounts. Additionally, I have gone to every web site I can and advised all of your poor unsuspecting customers to do the same. This is stealing and it is sad that AT&T has sunken so low.

For the last 25 years I have had cell service with AT&T. I have been a loyal customer, and always paid my bills in full and on time.

The money you could have made off of me as a continued customer, verses the money that you have stolen, is sizable. This would seem like a bad business decision to me, but you are the one running the company.

Nasty Company.

I am also a prepaid or to go customer. Jan.

4, I refilled my Cell phone $15.00 did not receive any notification and my Phone just quit working I called the Telephone Co. but they connected me to Vesta. I am trying to explain but Vesta said that my bank returned the check and declined payment If I hadn't call I wouldn't know what was going on. I E-mailed my bank and they replied stating that there was no presented payment from VESTA.

I do not know this people but after 12 years dealing with this Telephone Company this is the first time I'm dealing with this mess.

Lighten up "VESTA" money doesn't grow on trees. We work hard so, wish you would too BABU!!!!!!!!!!

Fraudulent Charges

3 charges over about as many days that are fraudulent. When I called their phone number it was an automated system that didn't even give a company name, so I knew it was fraud.

Seemed like it was for pre-paid phones. This company is NOT T-Mobile. I have their service and for over a decade now have had no problems with them. They were still in pending status, so the bank must have known something wasn't right because at least one should have cleared in that amount of time.

I had to dispute the charges so those funds could be released back into my bank account and now I have to wait for 1-3 days before I will have a new debit card so I can have access to my own money. Totally screws up everything for my week now because of thieves.

Charges show up on my account, I don't have prepaid phones.

We had to call and dispute charges and then get new cards. Half an hour out of your life because they are thieves or let their clients enter card numbers over and over 'til they get the pin correct.

Our cards were not out of our possession but had many failed attempts to make charges. 1000 combinations but why would you let someone enter the pin over and over? it kind of negates having a pin on the card.

I just hope they suspend the user's phone service so the lowlife can't keep doing this to other people. one hundred words

Vesta/Boost Mobile

On 7/11/2012 Vesta made 4 unauthorized charges to my credit card for one phone account. They are guilty of attempted theft.

When I called the company they admitted to submitting 5 transactions for the phone by error of there call center representative. Boost has been a descent company up until the joined affiliation with Vesta. Do not trust these people, Vesta, or anyone who works for Vesta. Avoid them at all cost or you may not be security backed like I was.

Thankfully I am protected by my bank and visa from these *** bag thieves. I hope they fold under suit.

For me, I do not understand how Vesta/ Boost Mobile obtained my credit card information. I only have a few reoccurring, monthly transactions on my credit card - that includes, Verizon (700 mins plan), CBR, World Vision, and OOMA.

As soon as I saw the charge, I cancelled my credit card.

I've never had a teleco prepaid plan or Boost Mobile, and I may even suspect OOMA to be involved. Nevertheless, what a disgraceful business!!!

That is BULL. I just hung up the phone with Boost mobile where a representative CALLED ME about 2 hours ago and asked me to make a payment on a phone which I had sold.

I stated that and also that I was not affiliated with Boost anymore, and would not make a payment bc of that. The representative processed a payment to my debit card, which was NOT supposed to be kept on file because I NEVER enrolled in auto-pay and specifically told him that I left Boost and was with another carrier. I spoke to three different Boost representatives after him and the first was honest in saying he shouldn't have done that without my approval and transferred me to someone who could help. NOT!!!

The higher I went up in customer service, the more *** I got, They insisted that the payment was made through the automated system and I say HOW? without my bank info and account pin and also if that were so, why did a representative call me anyway asking for a payment?? crooks... The company should immediately change their name to crooked mobile.

Then again, in slang, doesn't Boost mean to steal? They will steal the pants off of you if you are not careful and even if you are...

Great article. Thanks for the info, very helpful. BTW, if anyone needs to fill out a 2010 IL DoR CPP-1, I found a blank form here: "www.tax.illinois.gov" and also here "IL Payment online"

Fraudulent company way overdue for an FBI check.

I've noticed two charges of $108.88 on my bank account from this company. I've never had a pre-paid phone, my whole family is on a T-mobile family plan and we never had any business with VESTA, ATT or anyone else other than T-mobile.

My bank actually called me and said that VESTA obtained my debit card number and put two unauthorized charges on it. My bank is now working to return my money back to me.

Looking at the amounts of complaints about this company, it puzzles me that these crooks are still not in jail! Would FBI please investigate this company?

I'm in complete agreement that Vesta is way overdue for a fraud investigation. I, too, am a victim and I am SICK of their lame responses.

T-mobile won't do anything, either. Filed with BBB and FTC, but no one seems to see that there is a problem here that is affecting MANY people.

I want to know how the heck they got my credit card information in the first place. I am and have never been a customer of either.

Guest

By saying the BBB gives you a good rating doesn't take away all the complaints. The BBB is unscrupulous itself - a company's rating is dependent on them paying the BBB to be a member.

Simply be saying they've addressed the complaints clears them for the moment. Google the BBB and look for a 20/20 expose on them - they're crooks too!

This place is a rip OFF in the biggest terms.

I bought some minutes for my phone and it has been several hours since and I still don't have those minutes, yet it showed up on my bank account. The name of the place is Vesta Tmobile.

I want my money back. This place should not be allowed to continue to rip-off people and advertise that they have these minutes if they don't.

I will call the attourney general and report this as a fraudulent business. They can explain to them why they continue to take people's money and not provide the product that they are advertising.

ATT VESTA flagellant charges

I am not a ATT customer, nothing to do with VESTA. This is my first time to know VESTA, because my credit card got charged twice, over $100 apiece, on the same day by VESTA OR last month.

Clearly, VESTA/ATT just wants money, flagellant charges are just as good for them as long as they get money. They don't answer your calls even though they claim you can call their 866 number, free. right, free phone calls, but, nobody listens to you!

not to mention to get your money back!!! It is much easier to deal with the credit company than this fraud VEST/ATT!!!!

I ran into an issue also that I thought to be fraudulent on my bank account with Vesta AT&T. But I found out that Vesta AT&T IS a reputable company that takes care of the billing for many of the prepaid cellphones for different carriers.

Their direct number is 503-734-****.

They have an A rating with the BBB.

Vesta t-mobile

i checked my credit card statement today and found that Vesta charged my credit card for $100 and i notified my account to have it reversed. i do not, nor have i ever done business with these people.

but - FILE A COMPLAINT with the FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION.

you can call them or file on-line at ftc.gov. i did! if we all do, something will affect the company, but if we all complain to ourselves, nothing is changed. btw, i called Vesta and they are rude, arrogant and tried to blame me.

i won't say what i think about them here. lol

Vesta t mobile is definitely a scam!

Received a $50 charged from versa t-mobile. Never had t-mobile services. Having this charge reversed.

Guest

I just received email notification that T-Mobile had charged my account from my cc fraud department. These charges are being reversed.

How did they get my account number? I do not do any payments by phone. I only make one payment per month; and it is on-line for my mortgage.

Any ideas? Thank you.

Guest

We just noticed a $100 charge on our bank account from this company, Vesta T-Mobile. We did not buy anything from them and have never done business from them.

Glad we came upon this page so we knew they were scammers and will be printing this so we can take it to our bank and have the charge reversed.

I have no idea how it's legal for these people to do this. Unbelievable!!!

Guest

The Fraud Department for my CC called me yesterday asking about the same charge from "Vesta T-Mobile". We cancelled my CC and reversed the charges.
